Ryan Johnson

Ryan W. Johnson serves as the Vice President of Product and Customer Solutions at Polydeck, bringing over 18 years of experience in R&D, product development, and mechanical engineering to the organization with engineering expertise that spans product design, equipment design, process design, and manufacturing. Since joining Polydeck, Ryan has become a vital member of the leadership team, overseeing all aspects of engineering, tooling, customer service, and technology and product development.  

Ryan earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), M.S., and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.  As a technically proficient and strategic-minded leader, Ryan's ability to quickly build the technical competency necessary for developing innovative solutions and establishing trust among team members garners him the credibility needed to drive change throughout the company.  

Outside of his professional life, Ryan is a devoted husband to Alisha and a proud father to their three children, Katelin, Abigail, and James. He enjoys coaching and watching his kids participate in sports, music, and other activities.  Ryan enjoys being outdoors and spends his time building things, fixing things, gardening, fishing, golfing, and boating. 

Ryan's leadership style is people-focused, emphasizing personal growth and development. As a continuous learner, he continually strives to help others enhance their skills and reach their full potential. Ryan's technical engineering knowledge, strategic thinking, and leadership contribute significantly to Polydeck's ongoing innovation and success in the industry.
