INJECTION MOLDED MODULAR POLYURETHANE SCREEN MEDIA

Polyurethane screen panels engineered for versatility.

Plugging, blinding and premature wear cost you open area, throughput and maintenance time. Polydeck tackles these problems with POLYDEX® injection-molded polyurethane panels.

Engineered for wet, dry, sticky and high-moisture applications, POLYDEX is our most versatile line of modular screen media. It combines specialized polyurethane formulations, our broadest selection of aperture designs, and integrated features like dams and skid bars to elevate screening across a wide range of mining, aggregate, and coal applications.

DMAX

POLYDEX DMAX features a high open area to help achieve greater throughput. This versatile polyurethane model is ideal for wet or dry screening in areas that require high efficiency separations. DMAX performs best when paired with our PIPETOP TM stringers.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Get clear answers to the most common questions related to POLYDEX’s design, performance, and operational advantages.

What are the key benefits of POLYDEX?
POLYDEX is Polydeck’s most versatile screen media, offering the greatest number of aperture designs and formulations. And while it excels in wet screening, its versatility allows it to be used in both wet and dry applications. The polyurethane helps extend the panel’s wear life and dampen the sound of rock on metal, reducing your plant’s operational noise by 5–15 dB.
Will I lose open area and throughput if I switch from wire cloth?
Not necessarily. Although some polyurethane panels have less theoretical open area than wire cloth, DMAX can provide comparable effective open area and throughput. Other POLYDEX models balance open area with longer wear life, reduced blinding, and fewer maintenance interruptions.
What polyurethane formulation is used in POLYDEX?
POLYDEX screen media is available in four different formulations, including those specifically designed for microbial and hydrolysis resistance, self cleaning, or wear resistance.
What shapes and sizes of apertures are available in POLYDEX panels?
POLYDEX offers our most versatile array of apertures. A total of 10 different aperture designs are represented, ranging from solid to the patented VST (vector slot technology), ideal for dewatering. Most apertures come in their own unique size ranges, but customized size can often be accommodated when needed.
What types of attachment or fastening systems are available for POLYDEX panels?
Most POLYDEX panels affix with either pins or PolySnap® fasteners; however, the EOP design offers additional attachment options (PolyRail™ and SnapRail™ IS, MC, and TX), making it a convenient option for retrofitting.
How can I tell when a POLYDEX panel needs replacement?
The most proactive method of gauging the need for panel replacement is periodic visual inspections. Look for wear patterns and wear hotspots, such as thinning apertures or sagging sections, as well as obvious damage like rips or punctures.
