ARMADEX®

Line of heavy impact, bolt-down panels. Recommended for high-impact and heavily-loaded applications. A highly durable custom compound backed with HSLA steel for maximum protection and up to twice the wear life.

METALDEX®

Line of modular wire products. Three distinct models: welded wire, self-cleaning, and dewatering/desliming. Recommended for applications experiencing severe plugging or blinding, and where wear life is less critical.

Industries We Serve

Polydeck supports three core material processing sectors, each with distinct screening requirements, operating conditions, and performance goals.

Is Your Screen Media Costing You Production?

If your operation can’t consistently hit target tonnage, your screen media may be part of the problem. Worn, blinding, or poorly matched panels can quietly become a bottleneck on your screen. Before making process adjustments elsewhere, let a Polydeck Screening Expert help assess your media and application needs.

Polydeck’s broad range of screen media is ideal for operations that:

  • Experience frequent blinding, pegging, or plugging
  • Struggle with premature wear in abrasive or high-impact applications
  • Need to increase throughput without adding equipment
  • Want to reduce downtime from maintenance and changeouts
  • Need more open area without sacrificing wear life
  • Require application-specific media for mining, aggregates, or E&I

Why Choose Polydeck Screen Media?

When screen media underperforms, the cost shows up fast—in wear life, labor, downtime, and missed production. That’s why we stand behind our media with wear life, labor savings, and product specification guarantees. If we don’t deliver measurable results, we make it right.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What materials are Polydeck screen media made of?
Polydeck screen media is manufactured using high-performance polyurethane, rubber, and steel formulations. Each material is selected and engineered to balance durability, open area, impact resistance, and wear life based on your specific screening requirements.
How do I choose screening media?
Choosing the right screening media depends on several operational factors:
  • Material characteristics: Abrasiveness, moisture, and particle shape all affect media selection. Operations processing hard, abrasive material often benefits from rubber or polyurethane for extended wear life, while those dealing with drier, free-flowing material may benefit from options with higher open area.
  • Screen area (by zone): Feed zones take the highest impact and wear, so they typically require more durable media. Discharge zones can prioritize open area and screening efficiency.
  • Throughput and efficiency requirements: Higher tonnage operations require the right balance of open area, durability, and aperture design to maintain proper stratification and separation.
  • Blinding or pegging potential: Aperture shape, flexibility, and surface design all influence how well the media resists buildup and maintains open area.
  • Maintenance strategy: Modular panels allow for zone-specific changeouts, helping reduce downtime and simplify maintenance.
Our Screening Experts can help evaluate these factors and recommend a tailored solution.
Are Polydeck screen media customizable?
Yes. Our in-house engineering team can customize your screen media based on the field team’s analysis to ensure it fits your specific application. Aspects that we often tailor to meet client needs include:
  • Aperture shape and size
  • Fastening types
  • Material formulation
  • Panel thickness
  • Surface features, such as dams or scrolls
How long is delivery time?
Stock panels have a lead time of 2–3 days and can often ship same-day when the order is placed prior to 3:00 p.m. ET. For custom panels, the lead time depends on the level of customization; however, our custom orders still match or beat the lead times of other media suppliers.
Do you provide samples?
While we don’t provide up-front samples, we can often arrange a test run before full implementation. Consult with your Screening Expert to see whether your request can be accommodated.
Are your screen media easy to install and maintain?
Yes. Our modular panels are designed for quick, straightforward installation and removal, allowing for panel-by-panel replacement. This simplifies maintenance, reduces downtime, and extends the life of your screening system.
What types of fastenings do your panels use?
We offer a full range of fasteners, including Pins, PolySnap®, SnapRail™, PolyRail™, bolt-down, and pin and sleeve.
What aperture options are available?
We offer a wide range of aperture designs to match your material and performance requirements, including slotted, square, HVR, solid, round, SVR, VR, 8VR, and custom configurations. Aperture design is based on sizing accuracy, open area, wear life, and other performance needs.
Can Polydeck screen media be used for both wet and dry screening?
Yes. Our screen media is engineered to perform in both types of screening applications.
